Blueberry Pancake (27.670% THCa) – THCa Flower Ounce Special

Blueberry Pancake is an Indica THCa flower strain from Humboldt Seed Company, built by backcrossing Blueberry Pancakes with Slurricane and Purple Panty Dropper. This hydroponic batch tests at 27.670% THCa with 28.13% total cannabinoids and a 3.10% myrcene-dominant terpene profile — the richest terpene content of any flower in our current ounce special lineup, at $99.99 per ounce.

Overview

Blueberry Pancake is the terpene story of this drop’s ounce specials. At 3.10% total terpenes it out-measures every other $99.99 ounce we are running, and the composition is textbook indica: β-myrcene leads at 0.940%, roughly 30% of the profile, followed closely by linalool at 0.760%.

That myrcene-plus-linalool pairing is the classic relaxing combination, and here it is backed by δ-limonene (0.470%), nerolidol (0.440%), α-humulene (0.290%), camphene (0.075%), 3-carene (0.075%), and fenchol (0.050%). It is a broad, well-rounded profile rather than a single dominant spike.

Cannabinoids come in at 27.670% THCa, 28.13% total cannabinoids, and 24.47% total THC, with 0.260% CBGa and 0.201% Δ9-THC. This is the most approachable potency in this release — still strong, but not the 32% territory some of the others occupy, which makes it a good pick if you want an ounce you can actually work through without it being overwhelming.

Aroma and Flavor

Blueberry Pancake smells the way it is named: ripe blueberry and grape over warm dough and syrup, with a butter-and-vanilla sweetness underneath. Humboldt Seed Company describes the original as having a sickeningly sweet syrup nose, and this batch’s 0.94% myrcene and 0.76% linalool are exactly what carries that.

The flavor is sweet berry and pancake batter on the inhale, a creamy vanilla middle from the linalool, and a lightly herbal-woody exhale with a cool camphor edge. At 3.10% total terpenes the flavor is dense and long-lasting — this one keeps tasting like something all the way down.

Effects and Usage

Blueberry Pancake is an indica-dominant hybrid, and the effect is comfortable rather than crushing. Myrcene-dominant profiles are consistently associated with body relaxation and a heavier, settled feeling, and the high linalool adds a calming, mood-softening layer on top. Users describe it as warm, cozy, and easy — relaxed without immediately putting you to sleep.

Best suited to evening use, unwinding, low-key downtime, and anyone who wants indica relaxation with a slightly gentler ceiling. At 27.670% THCa it is the most forgiving flower in this release, which makes it a reasonable ounce for regular daily-driver use.

Strain Background

Blueberry Pancake comes from Humboldt Seed Company, developed through a collaborative pheno hunt at Wave Rider Nursery in Salinas, California that screened thousands of plants. It is not a simple two-parent cross — HSC describes it as a multi-generation backcross project (a Bx3 S2) built from Blueberry Pancakes × Slurricane × Purple Panty Dropper.

It shares its genetic foundation with HSC’s iconic Blueberry Muffin. The breeders returned to the original Purple Panty Dropper and Razzleberry cross and substituted Slurricane, which is how the strain got its heavier, syrupy sweetness. HSC’s Ben Lind described the process as going into the main lobby of a genetic and picking a different hallway to go down. Purple Panty Dropper itself is Purple Haze × Oregon Grape × Matanuska Mist.

Worth knowing: two genetically unrelated strains circulate under this name. The Humboldt Seed Company version described here is the widely distributed one. World Trade Genetics also released a Blueberry Pancakes from (Triple OG × Stardawg) × Blueberry Muffin — a different plant entirely.

Also distinct from Blueberry Muffin, the HSC ancestor strain, and from generic blueberry flower with no verified genetics.

Storage Instructions

Store Blueberry Pancake in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place. With 3.10% total terpenes there is a lot of aroma to protect — keep it sealed and out of sunlight. With an ounce, consider splitting it into smaller jars so the bulk of it stays undisturbed.
