Blue Runtz is an indica-dominant hybrid grown here in living soil. This batch tests at 31.162% THCa, 27.536% total THC and 33.338% total cannabinoids, with Δ9-THC at 0.207% and total CBD at 0.053%. The minor cannabinoid fraction is unusually rich, led by CBGa at 1.421%, followed by THCVa 0.185%, CBCa 0.169%, Δ8-THC 0.052%, CBDa 0.041%, THCV 0.030%, CBG 0.023%, CBDVa 0.022% and CBD 0.017%.

Total terpenes come in at 2.94%, with four terpenes sharing the top of the profile: linalool 0.62% (21% of the profile), limonene 0.53% (18%), trans-caryophyllene 0.47% (16%) and β-myrcene 0.43% (15%). Endo-fenchyl alcohol (fenchol) at 0.29% is next, a terpene that rarely shows up this high. Below that are menthol 0.16%, α-humulene 0.10%, β-pinene 0.10%, geranyl acetate 0.08%, α-pinene 0.07%, camphene 0.03%, cis-β-ocimene 0.03% and (+)-borneol 0.02%.

How it lines up with the strain’s reputation. Leafly lists limonene as Blue Runtz’s dominant terpene, so a linalool lead is a shift in order rather than a different profile. Licensed-market lab results for Blue Runtz show the same group of terpenes we measured (limonene, linalool, myrcene and caryophyllene), with linalool sitting close behind limonene, plus smaller amounts of fenchol and geranyl acetate. This batch simply puts linalool first. The 0.16% menthol does not appear in any published Blue Runtz profile and is specific to this harvest.

This batch’s chemistry fits that well. Linalool and myrcene, together about 36% of the profile, are both conventionally associated with calm, relaxed, body-forward presentations, while the limonene adds a mood-lifting edge so it does not feel flat. Expect a happy onset that settles into a heavy, comfortable body relaxation. Best for evenings, winding down, movies, music and getting ready for sleep. Strain Background

Blue Runtz is not tied to one breeder. No breeder publicly claims the original, no release year is documented, and at least three different crosses are sold under the name. Here is what the record shows:

• Blueberry × White Runtz: the version listed by Leafly and AllBud and the most widely repeated lineage. No breeder is named for it anywhere.
• Grape Runtz × Blue Z: GLK Genetics’ version, and the only one with a documented breeder (SeedFinder). It is described as mostly indica.
• Blue Power × Runtz: a separate cross some licensed-market growers sell under the name.

Weedmaps notes that more than one cross shares the Blue Runtz name. Our supplier has not documented which line this cut descends from, so we describe it by its most common listing and ground everything else on this page in our own lab results.

No connection to the Runtz brand. Every version of Blue Runtz is a third-party cross that uses Runtz or White Runtz as a parent. We do not claim, and are not aware of, any affiliation with the original Runtz breeders or brand.
